Day 114

31/8/2015

12 to 6:30pm
Sachin made some coasters today. I think I will set Mondays for coasters to develop a routine. He continues to master this task.

We went for our usual walk.

When we returned, Sachin started taking the clothes of the line. While he was doing that he had a 2 minute seizure. I caught him just in time and so avoided him falling to the ground. He slept for a couple of hours after that. When he woke up, he was fresh. He finished his day doing his puzzle.

Feedback

Sachin needs an eye on him continually, especially when he is standing or moving about.

11:30 to 4pm
Sachin seemed to be energetic today. I had some pieces of timber, with pre-drilled holes to form a box. I gave him his 6V cordless drill and got him started. I had to give the pieces in order and had to hold them together till he had screwed in a couple. He takes a lot of time to screw one in, firstly the drill has low power and also he doesn’t really apply much thrust. Anyway, he seemed happy while doing the task.

After a break, we went for our usual walk.

When we returned, he continued joining the box.

He finished his day doing his puzzle.

11 to 3:30pm
Sachin continued sanding the nightstand. He was more focused on the task today. I gave him a break after 30minutes as it was getting too dusty. After the break he continued sanding. He seems to be getting better. Then we went for our usual walk.

When we returned, I helped Sachin do some drawings. It was mostly copying my work but he needed me to help guide his hand. We also tried some writing. He was smiling a lot, hopefully indicating his happiness.

He finished his day using his Ipad.

12 to 4:30pm
Sachin made some coasters until the storm came. He moved inside and had a break while I tried to sort out some flooding issues. After that he worked on his puzzle for a while. Since walking the neighbourhood was not possible in this weather, I took him to Westfield Mt Druitt for exercise and a social outing.

When we returned, Sachin carried on working on his puzzle.

Day 109

12:30 to 5pm
Today Sachin continued Sanding the nightstand. He didn’t seem interested as he kept looking at me after applying a couple of strokes. Then I had him make some coasters. Again, he seemed disinterested. I gave him a tea break and then went for our usual walk.  Walking around our neighbourhood is a better option for his daily exercise as now he gets some ‘hellos’ and ‘waves’ from some of the local. He doesn’t really respond except sometimes he smiles. I have to help him wave back. Anyway, I have briefly told some of those locals about Sachins situation and I think some of the others may have some idea.

When we returned, Sachin took the clothes of the line( which I had put up this morning). After that, he helped me install new fly screens on windows. I showed him how to the first on and helped him put on the others. He did understand that the ‘plunger type holders’ needed to be pulled in to insert the windows. He seemed very interested in this new task.

He finished his day Sachin working on his puzzle.

10:30 to 5pm
Sachin woke up earlier today and as usual I checked the video surveillance to monitor if he had had enough sleep. He seemed to have had 8 hours and so I decided to take him somewhere different. We went to Westpoint, Blacktown. Sachin was enjoying the change. After window shopping for a while, we sat down and shared a pot of tea. We continued window shopping and stopped whenever Sachin showed any interest(the way he looked at things).

Then we sat down and had lunch. After that we went to the cinema area and browsed around.

He seemed tired when we returned, but looked happy. He had a cup of tea and then finished his day Sachin working on his puzzle.

After a break, we went for our usual walk.

When we returned, Sachin worked on his puzzle.

He was better with the nose mask on.

After a break, we went for our usual walk.
