11:30pm – When Sachin came to his work area, and before I could direct him, he started working on the 750 pieces jigsaw puzzle on his own. His eagerness was because the puzzle was nearing completion and he seemed eager to complete it. I allowed him to continue.
12:30pm – toilet and tea break. 12:40pm – Sachin was eager to continue with the puzzle and so he continued working on it even though, he was supposed to be on his break. He should be allowed to continue if he shows eagerness towards a particular task. 1:20pm – Sachin completed the puzzle and seemed extremely pleased. This was the first time he had completed such a big puzzle. Of course he had some assistance from me but in a subtle way so that he felt it was totally his effort. 1:30pm – Lunch break. 2:00pm – I had Sachin disassemble an old workbench that had shelves. He unscrewed parts – he was fairly comfortable doing it and seemed very engaged. I hammered out the parts that were nailed. Then I had him tap the nails back so that he could use the claw to pull them out. He kept trying to unscrew the nails using the claw despite being shown the correct way. 3:20pm – short break and then he continued disassembling. He was enjoying this. 5:00pm –End of day. Feedback Sachin had a very good day. His eagerness may have been due to the tasks or his good sleep last night.
