Arrived at approx 16:55pm, clocked in and walked inside. Was met with Sachin and Praveena in the living room. I walked to Sachin with a smile on my face, put my hand out and gave him a fist pump, he put his hand out too immediately and gave my a fist pump back. I had a catch up conversation with Praveena and Saj. Sachin had had a good night sleep *9hrs 28mins, 5hrs of light and 2hrs 38mind deep. He looked noticeably rested and he was happy! He had more colour in his face. We made lots of eye contact. Throughout the shift Sachin burst into laughter and giggled and chuckled. Wether he had a thought or was feeling better all round, it was lovely to see and hear. His laughs are contagious and he has a smile from ear to ear! Sometimes it’s a really deep belly laugh. Next, while sitting at the dining table, I asked Sachin to finish his tea and then go sit on the couch, Saj helped prompt him to do so. He finished his tea and put his cup on the kitchen bench. Next I put Sachins new ankle strap and his walking shoes, he sat down and put his feet out in order for me to take his slippers off and put his shoes and strap on for him. He laughed while I did so. We then departed for our afternoon walk, Sachin opened the side gate and led the way. We linked arms (his right in my left arm) and started walking. We stopped at the driveway and looked for cars, I was sure to explain to Sachin what were were doing “let’s stop and check for cars”. We then walked all the way too the end of Cambridge ave. During our walk Sachins eyes started watering from both eyes. He had a slight frown on his face. He wiped the tears but continued to laugh and giggle. Todays pace was a bit faster then last time but still a steady pace (not too quick or too slow). I pointed out the birds, trees, clouds and cars. I told him I was very happy we met and I hoped he feels safe with me. I realised we forgot to put his mittens on, his fingers were a bit cold so I put my right hand over his left hand and was gently stroking the top of his hand. Sachin was then doing the same too me, gently rubbing the side of my hand/fingers. I wasn’t sure if he was coping what I was doing to his hand, or wether he was trying to clock his fingers (as a stim). Walked too the end the of the street then turned back around. We stopped again at the driveway across the street, stopped for a passing car then walked through the side gate and inside. I then asked Sachin to sit on the couch which he did, he lifted up his feet and I took his brace off his left ankle, his shoes then put his slippers back on. He adjusted his sock on left foot. I then tried to prompt Sachin to go too the toilet, however he went straight to the dining table to finish his cup of tea. After he finished his tea, he put the tea bag into the bin. I prompted him go too the toilet, it took approx 1.30 minutes for Sachin to release one low output, I had to turn in the tap in bathroom to encourage him to go. He then had a break for approx .30 seconds then another low output. After this I fully assisted brushing Sachins teeth. Brushes then x3 rinses with water today. He dried his hands and mouth then waked back into the dining area. Sachin then prepared his teapot for tomorrow and used a tea towel to wipe water and spots off of the pot. We then got our teas and went into the programs room. I asked Sachin to turn the lamp on which he did, I turned on the defuser then the stereo with light music. Medication was administered by Praveena at approx 18:10pm. Sachin sat and did his puzzle, still laughing and giggling. He picked his nose and ate snot from his finger, picked again then I wiped his nose for him. Saj reminded me to apply pure lavender oil to the inside of Sachins nostrils, Praveena showed me how to do so exactly. Must be applied at least x2 times while in programs room (more often if high risk day) Sachin completed 1 lines of his puzzle. Prompted sach to drink his tea, I tried so x4 times but until Saj came through did he drink some tea. I completed notes in DSW diary in programs room. BPM fluctuated between 70-90BPM. He was relaxed and content, concentrating very hard on his puzzle. The puzzle pieces MUST slide into its correct space with the perfect “clicking” sound, if it doesn’t make the correct sound he’ll repeat until he’s satisfied. I applied second lavender oil too the inside of his nostrils with Q tip. At approx 19:30pm Sachin and I packed up in the programs room, I asked him to turn off the lamp which he did so, I turned off defuser and stereo. I took a progressional picture of his puzzle which Ill send to Saj. We then went into the lounge room, Sachin snuggled up with his blanket and watched tv and held his ball. Praveena and I had nice conversations. She then offered me some delicious fried rice, I sat at the table and ate. Sachin kept looking over towards me, I looked back and smiled. I washed my plate.
At approx 20:00pm, I said goodbye, fist pumped Sachin, clocked off and left.
